Shelton | Johns was founded by two VoIP industry pioneers who made an early realization that voice on data networks required not only special skills but also special network designs.

 

James "Stagg" Shelton and Bryan Johns partnered to deliver a comprehensive VoIP conversion practice to the mid-market buyer. After two years and more than 100 successful deployments, Sheton | Johns still learns something new everyday.

 

 

James "Stagg" Shelton - Engineering Partner

Stagg has been a pioneer in open source telecommunications since its inception. With a background in application development and integration, Stagg has worked in, around and underneath the foundations of the Asterisk telephony framework and other open source solutions for more than four years.

 

Prior to founding Shelton | Johns, Stagg was the Chief Technology Officer of a hybrid network service provider where he designed and implemented core network architecture and built systems to support customer services.

 

Stagg has also spent years supplying his expertise to large-scale ERP deployments across the United States.

 

 

Bryan M. Johns - Consulting Partner

Bryan M. Johns, Consulting Partner in Shelton | Johns has spent the last four years evangelizing the power and flexibility of Asterisk as an enterprise telephony framework. Bryan has been a member of the Board or executive management team of four successful Southeastern technology start-ups since the middle 1990s.

 

Prior to founding Shelton | Johns, Bryan was the interim CEO of a hybrid network service provider where he was responsible for crafting the company's market strategy and executing its business plan. In addition to this experience, Bryan spent three years as a corporate restructuring consultant following the technology market down-turn of 2001 where he assisted investors in recovering value from distressed technology companies.

 

Bryan has more than ten years experience as a WAN network consulting for clients such as MCI WorldCom, BellSouth, and Andersen Consulting.  Bryan is a frequent attendee and speaker at industry events.
